9th August 2014 - Snetterton - Britcar Trophy

This was the first race outing for the Saker – a leap into the unknown for everyone involved in ALP Racing. The drive was split between Alan and Gary, with the car reaching pole for the first sprint race. After a restrained start, Alan steadily worked through the pack and was looking good for a podium finish until an unfortunate spin at Murrays pushed him down a place. Still, finishing 4th overall wasn’t a bad way to start the racing calendar.

Gary applied himself excellently from his start, overtaking a Mosler, TVR Sagaris and 911 by the second corner! But for a stubborn Porsche 997 Gary could well have gone on to win, but his 2nd place was a brilliant return for the Saker’s first outing.
